New Versace boutiques in New York
Fashion and design with a luxurious, contemporary flavour
The iconic Italian fashion label Versace has opened two new boutiques: one in Soho in the heart of New York, and one in the exclusive Americana Manhasset luxury shopping centre on Long Island.
French designer Gwenael Nicolas of the Japanese studio Curiosity is behind the design scheme. Bringing out the best of the blend between fashion and design, it complies with the strictest environmental sustainability standards. The first step on this front was the use of natural materials such as superior Margraf marble, which adds an exquisite, unique touch to the interiors.
The floors are decorated with Versace’s trademark Greek key pattern and they embody the essence of the label, which has been given a modern twist. White Margraf marble in a spellbinding variety of shades has been masterfully inland using distinctive water-jet technology, highlighting the unique luxury of the natural, timeless material, which is the perfect match for the brand’s philosophy and the designer’s style.
Margraf is an international ambassador of Italian know-how. For more than a hundred years, it has transformed natural wonders into architecture, shaping them to suit the needs of human creativity, well-being and beauty. The company has decided to invest in futuristic CNC machinery and green production technologies that combine exceptional results with low energy use and reduced waste of materials, so that it can offer increasingly distinctive finishes and outstanding, specially tailored interior design solutions to its customers, including architects, designers and even the most demanding end users.
The combination of marble’s unique properties and an unparalleled design, consulting and laying service means that Margraf can play a crucial role as a strategic partner for international architects, interior designers and contractors who want to create highly exclusive locations.
