After inaugurating the monumental work Arcolitico – an experimental parabolic arch in Fior di Pesco Carnico 14.5 meters tall and a symbol of the new course of the Vicenza-based company – and the Margraf Area – the largest showroom in Europe for the exhibition and distribution of marble, Margraf is continuing to develop new frontiers for the application of this material of excellence.
Margraf’s new futuristic stone machining technologies, based on a complex parametric design, have allowed it, for the first time, to shape marble in new and unique ways, with a minimum waste of material.
During the 53rd edition of Marmomac, at the exhibition “Liquido, Solido e Litico” (Liquid, Solid and Lithic), curated by the designer Raffaello Galiotto – Pavilion 1, Margraf presented Tasca, a pair of sinuous and elegantly shaped washbasins in Calacatta, mounted on a wall tiled with Grey Saint Laurent, and free standing. They are formed by overlapping elements produced with a concentric cutting method.
This innovative solution allows creating a particularly light washbasin support with a hollow shape, which is able to house the piping and to inspect them easily.
