Engineered quartz is a material particularly suitable for interior design and for the interior and exterior finishing of modern and sophisticated private homes and public spaces. The aesthetic result is excellent even when used together natural stone.  Formed in 305 x 140 cm slabs, either 2 or 3 cm thick, its technical characteristics are truly unique and it is well-suited for designer kitchen countertops. It is made by mixing quartz, silica sands and coloured pigments. The mix then undergoes vibrocompaction with a special vacuum procedure to ensure maximum compactness. Harder than granite and with almost zero water absorption, quartz is resistant to acids and bacteria. Moreover, this material has received many important DIN (Europe), ASTM (USA), ISO 9001/14000 and NSF certifications.
