New opening: Carrara plant

A new home, in the heart of the world capital of marble.

On September 22nd, our new plant was inaugurated in Carrara, which will serve as a storage and exhibition facility for blocks sourced from all around the world.

The company’s intention is to expand and diversify its product offerings. The new location, situated at Viale Zaccagna 25 (MS), will provide visitors with a comprehensive view of the company’s offerings, showcasing exclusive natural stone blocks. Fior di Pesco Carnico®, Bianco Covelano, Breccia Bohemien, and Polaris are just a few of the over 250 blocks, including marbles and quartzites, displayed on a 5000 m² area. It is a true marble boutique where expert consultants will guide customers in selecting the best blocks, which, thanks to the proximity to the port, can be shipped worldwide quickly.

For the construction of the new warehouse the entire outdoor area has been subject to a deep redevelopment, with the further renovation of the office building. At the entrance, the old Enel tower has been transformed into a real work of art thanks to the talent of the Lombard artist Luca Font, who wanted to represent the quarry and the extraction process as an intervention not industrial, but human, almost artisanal. The hand drawing, which houses the marble blocks, symbolizes the double role of those who extract them from the mountains and transforms them into exclusive pieces of furniture and design. Finally, the main facade has an impressive marble coating of Fior di Pesco Carnico arranged as an innovative puzzle. Here, small marble pixels make the surface vibrant and extremely recognizable.

This choice is the result of continuous research for unique and high-quality materials to meet an increasingly discerning clientele. The company’s development journey continues by following the strategy of investing in production units, depots, and innovative technologies, all crucial decisions to ensure the high-quality standards that make Margraf appreciated worldwide.
