Big investments in new marble machining technology
The Margraf recipe for beating the crisis

 Against the backdrop of unprecedented economic circumstances, Vicenza-based Margraf – which is a leading international name in marble and natural stone quarrying and machining – is planning to make big investments in new production technologies and futuristic CNC machinery.
The company always strives to offer increasingly distinctive finishes and superior, specially tailored interior design solutions to its customers, including architects, designers and even the most demanding end users. Therefore, it has signed a significant deal with Breton and bought three new CONTOURFIVE machining centres with five interpolated axes: one Contourfive NC700 HD and two double-table Contourfive NC700 HD DUALs.
In addition to the three Contourfive machining centres, in its production department Margraf uses another Breton machining centre with five interpolated axes (the famous Shapemill) and a Contourbreton NC 300 DUAL stone router.
The company will be able to offer unparalleled production, machining and finishing standards thanks to the substantial investment, leading to numerous benefits such as:

• Exceptional precision when cutting, dishing out and contouring.
• Very little action is required from the operator.
• The powerful Bretoncam software makes it easy to produce contouring programs and even the most complex paths for programming artistic pieces and sculptures.
• Prompt, efficient technical support.
• The HD head has some of the highest torque values in its class and it can comfortably be used for rough-machining that makes the most of discs with diameters of up to 800 mm, as well as for milling with five interpolated axes for finishing purposes.
