Collaborations

Together with international architects and designers, we have been carrying out private, commercial and institutional projects in every corner of the world for over 100 years.

Jean-Michel Wilmotte

The passion for marble is the common denominator that made possible the collaboration with the French architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte. The design experience of Wilmotte Design Studio and the industrial know-how that distinguishes Margraf, have given rise to a new collection consisting of two series of products: Gradina and Herma.
This is how a new collection of washbasins and shower trays is born, exalting the noble characteristics of Fior di Pesco Carnico, which lends itself, thanks to its extraordinary reaction to water, to be the perfect material for the design of high-level bathrooms.
The aim of the project is to create a collection of contemporary products through the decomposition of the stone material, and obtain a certain irregularity that enhances the contrast between the natural stone, with a rough appearance, and the precise cutting of the metal.
A harmonious dialogue between elements of nature and man-made elements, in which the unmistakable style of the French architect is the protagonist.

Gradina

This series of products takes inspiration from an ancient tool used in sculpture, a kind of chisel used for the rough-hewing of marble and which, with its tooth profile, smooths out irregularities and defines the shapes of the work.

It consists of three elements: a double basin with oval tubs, a single basin with circular tub, and a square shower tray with circular inner tub.

Features

Each piece is made by working monolithic solid block of Fior di Pesco Carnico® marble

  • Double washbasin: 212 x 66 x 15 cm
  • Single washbasin: 84 x 66 x 15 cm
  • Shower tray: 115 x 115 x 6 cm

Herma

This series of products takes inspiration from a piece by the well-known Greek composer, engineer and architect, naturalized French Iannis Xenakis on which Jean-Michel Wilmotte created the set for his solo exhibition recently inaugurated at the Grand Palais Éphémère in Paris.

It consists of a double basin, a single basin and a shower tray, very square in their shapes, with rectangular inserts in Nero Marquinia marble.
